Terms of use

RigTune is a web application that allows users to consult orientative performance configurations for video games and PC-type handheld devices, as well as information relating to power consumption, battery life and data usage.

These terms govern access to, browsing of and use of RigTune, without prejudice to the privacy policy and to any particular conditions that may apply to specific features.

RigTune is aimed at users of handheld consoles, video games, platforms and configuration tools compatible with the features available at any given time.

By using RigTune, the user declares that they have read and accepted these terms of use.

If the user does not agree with these terms, they must refrain from using the service.

Where a feature requires specific acceptance — for example, linking a Steam account or submitting a contribution — RigTune may request additional confirmation before enabling it.

RigTune provides a database and informational tools intended to help the user configure certain video game performance parameters on handheld devices.

Configurations may include, among other elements:

• power or TDP limits;
• frames-per-second target;
• resolution;
• graphics settings;
• upscaling technologies;
• battery life estimates;
• data usage estimates;
• information on compatibility, patches, incidents or modifications.

The availability, scope and content of these features may vary depending on the game, device, system version, country, information source and technical evolution of the service.

The configurations available on RigTune may come from automatic generation, adaptation or transfer from another model, measurements or publications by third parties, or user contributions.

Each entry identifies the known origin of the configuration and, where relevant, whether RigTune has carried out its own test on the indicated device. Configurations inherited or adapted from another model show the model of origin and specify whether they have been tested by RigTune on the target model.

Where a measurement includes a documented date, the entry shows the date of measurement. If the date is not available, the entry states so expressly. The publication or revision date of a source will not be presented as a measurement date unless the source confirms it as such.

Configurations that are automatically generated, inherited, adapted, published by third parties or reported by users are orientative and do not imply that RigTune has verified, validated or guaranteed them, save where a test carried out by RigTune is expressly and specifically indicated.

The user is responsible for checking that:

• they have selected the correct device model;
• the proposed setting exists in the corresponding official utility;
• the value is compatible with their console, game, system version, firmware, drivers and conditions of use;
• they understand the warnings shown in the entry;
• they do not apply parameters that their device, manufacturer or software advises against or does not permit.

RigTune does not directly modify the user's device. The application of configurations, parameters or changes is carried out by the user through the tools, menus, utilities or firmware available on their own device.

The user must not apply a configuration if any of its parameters does not appear in the official utility of their console, is not compatible with their hardware, or is accompanied by a warning from the manufacturer, the operating system or RigTune.

RigTune's configurations, estimates, measurements and recommendations are orientative in nature. Performance and results may vary owing to, among other factors:

• the model and condition of the device;
• the specific hardware unit;
• the version of the game;
• the operating system, firmware and drivers;
• temperature, ventilation and power supply;
• charger, battery and power profile;
• network, server, activity of other programs and connection conditions;
• subsequent modifications, adjustments or actions by the user.

RigTune shall be liable for damages, losses, breaches or lack of conformity that are legally attributable to it under the applicable legislation.

To the extent permitted by law, RigTune shall not be liable for damages arising exclusively from:

• defects, faults or limitations of the device;
• third-party firmware, drivers, operating systems, tools or APIs;
• inaccurate or incomplete data provided by the user;
• application of a configuration to a model other than the one indicated;
• failure to comply with the warnings or instructions provided by RigTune, the manufacturer or the system;
• subsequent modifications made by the user or by third parties;
• unavailability, changes or errors in external services outside RigTune's control.

Nothing in these terms limits the mandatory rights of consumers and users, nor does it exclude liability for wilful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury, defects inherent to the service, or any case whose exclusion or limitation is not legally permitted.

RigTune may allow users to submit contributions relating to configurations, performance, connection, modifications, data usage, incidents, compatibility or any other technical information related to the service.

Participation is voluntary. The user is not required to submit contributions in order to use RigTune.

Contributions may consist of, among others:

• confirmations that a configuration works;
• proposed modifications;
• information on connection type;
• information on modifications or mods;
• data usage measurements;
• reports of errors, incompatibilities, patches, suspend issues, black bars or other incidents.

References to mods or patches contributed by the community do not imply that RigTune has tested, verified, hosted or distributed those mods or patches. Installing them is the user's decision, and the user must check the original source and the possible effects on the game, the system or anti-cheat systems beforehand.

Submitting a contribution does not create any employment, professional, commercial, agency, representation or service-provision relationship between the user and RigTune. Nor does it give rise to any right to a salary, commission, payment, discount, credit, prize or financial consideration.

The user declares that the information submitted is, to the best of their knowledge and belief, truthful, and that they hold the rights, authorisations or powers necessary to submit it.

RigTune may review, moderate, correct, summarise, classify, reject, decline to publish, withdraw or anonymise contributions, in particular where they are incomplete, manifestly inaccurate, duplicated, automated, unlawful, offensive, fraudulent or contrary to these terms.

Publication of a contribution is discretionary. RigTune does not guarantee the publication, retention, visibility or incorporation of any contribution into the catalog.

By submitting a contribution, the user grants RigTune a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence, non-transferable except to providers necessary to deliver the service, and limited to the duration necessary to operate, maintain, improve, document and defend the service.

The licence allows RigTune to reproduce, store, technically adapt, organise, display, communicate and, where appropriate, publish the contribution within RigTune, always in compliance with the applicable legislation and the privacy policy.

This licence does not entail any transfer of personal data. The processing of personal data is governed by the privacy policy.

Where the user deletes their account, RigTune will delete or anonymise personal data in accordance with the privacy policy. Technical contributions may be retained in anonymised form and without any link to the account where this is necessary to maintain the usefulness, integrity and traceability of the service.

RigTune may display points and levels associated with the user's participation.

Each contribution accepted in accordance with the rules of the service may generate one point. Points are used to calculate a participation level visible on the user's profile.

Points and levels:

• are internal, symbolic and informational elements;
• are not money, salary, commission, credit, discount, an asset or a means of payment;
• cannot be redeemed, sold, transferred or converted into money;
• do not give rise to any right to a functional, economic or contractual advantage;
• do not constitute a technical, professional or reliability certification;
• do not guarantee the publication or acceptance of future contributions.

RigTune may correct, adjust, withdraw or reset points and levels where there are errors, duplications, automation, fraud, manipulation or breach of these terms. Where appropriate, the user may request a review of a decision affecting their points or level via deckforgehub@gmail.com.

RigTune may allow the user to voluntarily link their Steam account through the authentication mechanisms or APIs enabled by Steam.

The purpose of synchronisation is to display or manage the user's library within RigTune, according to the features available. The user may revoke the link through the options available in the service or via deckforgehub@gmail.com.

Games from Epic Games, GOG, Xbox or other platforms are added manually by the user where RigTune does not have an authorised integration.

The user must not provide RigTune with passwords, credentials, access codes, unsolicited tokens or access information for third-party services other than that necessary for the integrations expressly enabled.

The processing of data arising from synchronisations or account links is governed by the privacy policy.

The denominations, trademarks, trade names, cover art, photographs and other identifying signs or materials of games, consoles, manufacturers, stores, platforms and services that may appear on RigTune belong to their respective owners.

RigTune is not affiliated with, sponsored by, authorised or endorsed by Valve, Steam, Microsoft, Xbox, Epic Games, GOG, Blizzard, ASUS, Lenovo, MSI, AYANEO, GPD, One-netbook, or the owners of the video games, consoles or platforms mentioned, unless expressly stated.

The inclusion of a denomination, trademark, cover art, photograph or other third-party element does not imply any business association, official recommendation, certification, sponsorship or approval by its owner.

Cover art, images and other graphic materials of games that may be shown on RigTune belong to their respective owners and are used solely for the purposes of identifying and providing information about the games included in the catalog.

If you are a rights holder or act on their behalf and consider that content available on RigTune infringes your rights, you may request its review via deckforgehub@gmail.com, stating:

• identification of the rights holder or representative;
• the content affected and the specific URL;
• the right invoked;
• documentation or information sufficient to examine the request;
• contact details.

RigTune will examine the communication and may withdraw, block or modify the content where appropriate.

On the Help page we mention third-party programs and websites that can be used to measure performance or look up game information, such as HWiNFO, MSI Afterburner, RivaTuner Statistics Server, the Steam overlay, the Xbox Game Bar, handheld manufacturers' apps, PCGamingWiki or ProtonDB.

RigTune has no commercial relationship, sponsorship, affiliation or distribution agreement with these third parties and receives no compensation for mentioning them. We recommend them solely as informational references. RigTune does not develop, control, supply or guarantee them.

Downloading, installing and using these programs and websites is optional. Users must obtain them from their official sources, review their licences, terms and requirements, and check their compatibility with their device, operating system, game and settings.

RigTune is not liable for the availability, operation, modifications, errors, incompatibilities or consequences arising exclusively from third-party products, programs or websites that it does not control, nor for the user's actions when downloading, installing or using them. This includes, where applicable, conflicts with anti-cheat systems, loss of settings or interruptions of third-party services.

This provision does not exclude or limit any liability that legally corresponds to RigTune for its own acts, for incorrect or negligent information, for lack of conformity of the service, for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, for personal injury, or in any case where such limitation is not valid. Nor does it limit the mandatory rights granted to consumers.

RigTune refers to video games covering different age ratings and categories. It does not sell, distribute, host or provide access to the games or their content. Any age ratings are assigned by the relevant rights holders, rating organisations or distribution platforms.

Users are responsible for checking the applicable rating, content and requirements of each game and for complying with age restrictions imposed by law, the relevant platform, manufacturer or rights holder. The inclusion of a game in RigTune does not mean that it is suitable for any particular age and does not constitute a recommendation to access or purchase it.

RigTune's content — the configurations, their text and the organisation of the catalog — is our own work and is protected by intellectual property law. Its systematic extraction, in whole or in part, by automated or manual means is prohibited, as is its reuse in other services, databases or publications without express written permission.

This includes the use of crawling software, bulk reproduction of pages and automated access to our services outside the intended interface. RigTune may limit or block access where it detects such use.

The user undertakes to use RigTune lawfully, diligently and in accordance with these terms.

The following conduct is prohibited, among others:

• using RigTune for unlawful or fraudulent purposes or in a manner harmful to third-party rights;
• submitting false, misleading, unlawful, offensive, discriminatory or threatening content, or content that infringes third-party rights;
• submitting personal data of third parties without an adequate legal basis;
• impersonating other people;
• using automated means to systematically extract, collect, index, copy or exploit RigTune content without authorisation;
• altering, interfering with, circumventing or jeopardising the security, authentication or operation of the service;
• introducing malicious code, viruses, bots, scrapers or mechanisms intended to harm the service;
• using points, levels or contributions to manipulate the catalog, generate spam or create a misleading appearance of reliability;
• using third-party trademarks, content or materials without authorisation;
• attempting to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems, databases or connected services.

RigTune may adopt proportionate measures in response to breaches of these terms, including:

• a warning;
• withdrawal or rejection of a contribution;
• reduction, correction or withdrawal of points;
• temporary limitation of features;
• account suspension;
• account cancellation;
• notification to the competent authorities where legally required.

Where the measure significantly affects the user's access, RigTune will provide, where reasonably possible and unless there are reasons of security, fraud, legal obligation or prevention of harm, a basic explanation of the decision and a channel through which to request a review.

RigTune endeavours to keep the service available and up to date, but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or the complete absence of errors.

RigTune may modify, update, suspend or withdraw features, configurations, sources, integrations, labels, data or technical elements where necessary for reasons of security, error correction, technical changes, evolution of the service, legal compliance, availability of sources or protection of third-party rights.

Where a change substantially affects a feature that is essential for the user, RigTune will endeavour to give reasonable advance notice, save in cases of urgency, security reasons, technical impossibility or legal requirement.

RigTune may amend these terms in order to adapt them to legal, technical, functional, organisational or security changes.

The version in force will be available at rigtune.net/terms. Where the change is significant, RigTune will give notice by means of a visible notice in the application, by email where appropriate, or by an equivalent mechanism.

Continued use of RigTune after the new version takes effect will constitute acceptance of the updated terms, without prejudice to the rights granted to the user by the applicable legislation.

The processing of personal data is governed by RigTune's privacy policy, available at rigtune.net/privacy.

The privacy policy provides information on, among other matters:

• data processed when creating or using an account;
• integrations with Steam;
• user contributions;
• points and levels;
• anonymisation of contributions after account deletion;
• retention;
• the rights of users;
• contact details for privacy matters.

RigTune is currently offered free of charge and there is no active paid subscription.

RigTune may introduce paid features in the future. Before the user contracts any subscription, PRO access or other paid feature, RigTune will make available the applicable particular conditions and the pre-contractual information required by law, including, where applicable:

• the characteristics and limitations of the feature;
• the total price, taxes, billing frequency and payment method;
• duration, automatic renewal, cancellation and termination;
• functionality, compatibility and interoperability;
• the right of withdrawal and its conditions;
• a request for immediate commencement, where applicable;
• support and complaints.

Paid features will not, in themselves, alter the origin or the orientative nature of the configurations available on RigTune.

For queries, incidents, communications about content, complaints or review requests, the user may contact RigTune through:

To facilitate the handling of incidents relating to a configuration, the user should state, where possible:

• the game;
• the device;
• the recipe version;
• the date;
• the setting applied;
• the incident detected;
• screenshots or relevant technical information, avoiding the inclusion of unnecessary personal data.

These terms shall be governed by Spanish law.

Where the user is a consumer and habitually resides in another Member State of the European Union, the choice of Spanish law shall not deprive the user of the protection afforded by the applicable mandatory provisions of the law of their country of habitual residence.

For any dispute, the parties submit to the courts and tribunals having jurisdiction under the applicable legislation.

Where the user is a consumer, the competent courts and tribunals shall be those established by the applicable mandatory legislation, and this clause shall not limit the user's rights as to jurisdiction.

Any declaration of nullity, invalidity or ineffectiveness of a provision of these terms shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions, which shall remain in force to the extent permitted by law.
